A battery storage system was deployed to shift office-area electricity consumption from peak to off-peak hours, minimizing demand charges without affecting the core server infrastructure. The data center leveraged wholesale market electricity pricing algorithms, allowing it to procure energy at lower rates and reduce exposure to fluctuating peak costs. A dedicated metering switching was installed to split energy systems from load in case of emergency.
